Account Coordinator

Entry-level position. Helps team in day-to-day account services, with internal agency focus. Responsible for supporting project management activities of assigned accounts. Good team player.

Background Requirements

  • Related experience or knowledge of basic advertising principles
  • Previous marketing or advertising internships preferred
  • Understands basic principles of marketing, business management, and sales
  • Bachelor in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, Arts Degree preferred
  • Showed strong academic performance (i.e. GPA, honors, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Helps team in day to day account services, with internal agency focus
  • Opens project work orders, with complete brief information (budget, deadlines, etc.)
  • Manages project-flow, from start to finish, through the company’s system with ease; works closely with internal Traffic team
  • Coordinates workload with other agency departments effectively and efficiently
  • Executes media added value initiatives in conjunction with the media department
  • Traffics ads to stations based on media plan requirements in a timely basis in conjunction with the media department
  • Makes sure creative work is proofread and exercises proper quality controls on agency products before they go out to the client
  • Writes meeting conference reports, summarizing main agreements and next steps
  • Maintains a weekly status report
  • Maintains and organizes the team’s shared files and archives (non-creative final file specific)
  • Schedules and sets up meetings for the team (with agency staff, client, and partners)
  • Performs administrative functions related to account for the team (FedEX, copying, faxing, materials pick up and drop off, etc.)

Strategic

  • Develops and writes reports, capturing thoughts well on paper and succinctly
  • Provides support in preparation of presentations and reports
  • Gathers data resourcefully and keeps the team informed (internet data searches, competitive intelligence, industry analysis, etc.)
  • Assists in the preparation of competitive reports (collects materials, organizes presentation)

Client Contact

  • Has client contact for executional matters, including day-to-day project status and scheduling of meetings

  • Actively participates in agency/department volunteering activities
  • Resolves conflicts and differences in a calm, professional and polite manner

Financial

  • Maintains BCR (Budget Control Report)
  • Fills out timesheets and submits them weekly
